Suitcase Full of Tears

The Suitcase

Chorus:
And it seems my case gets heavier
The further down the years
I need someone to help me with my suitcase…
full of tears

Grandma Sue’s Peanut Butter Pie

Food, Lovin' Family

peanut-butter-pieSara got on this kick to try to find Grandma Sue’s Peanut Butter Pie recipe so she’s been looking up recipes and making pies like crazy since we last saw everyone at Dad’s Memorial.
Guess what?? Sara came across THE recipe! Taste tested and approved by Mickey Hervey! The woman who had put it on the web said she got it from a Karo Syrup bottle :)
Here it is in case you’re interested:

Makes 1 pie

1 Cup Dark Karo
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3 Large Eggs
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
1 9 inch Pie Shell

Blend the corn syrup, sugar, eggs and peanut butter and pour into the unbaked crust.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then cover the edge of the pie crust with tin foil and lower the temp to 350 degrees and continue baking 35 – 40 minutes more.
The center should look wobbly, it will set as the pie cools. Let cool for at least 3 hrs.
Sara’s thinking about running a ribbon of jelly through the pie and then topping with chocolate ice cream … what do you think? Feel Free to Comment…

Joey – Concrete Blonde

Other Music, The Suitcase

I always liked singing songs by girls. Famous Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warnes for instance. Lately I remembered a song I loved and it’d be Joey by Concrete Blonde.

A Birthday Song For You

The Suitcase

If I could Fly up to the sky
And then back down again
I’d bring the stars back home with me
Just for Lexi Lyn
I am just a simple man
I do what I can do
Please accept with all my love
This Birthday song for you
If I could sail around the world
And then back home again
I’d bring with me the spice of life
Just for Lexi Lyn
I am just a simple man
I do what I can do
Please accept with all my love
This Birthday song for you

I’m Going To Write a Book (Boook)

The Suitcase

Sure nobody cares, der. I’m not an authoritative dipshit on any level. So that’s why I must write this drivel.
This one is for me. I think there is more to ancient history than is presently being portrayed in cable TV. Don’t get me wrong, I loves me some George Tsukulot and all the other “Ancient Aliens Theorists” but they are going way off base from what is already known. They tend to exaggerate quite a bit while also bringing to the table very compelling questions. It’s the Questions that intrigue me. So I know that is how they are indoctrinating me.
They’ll get me in the end. That’s how they work…

Real News Is Too Depressing

News

Fuck this shit. I’m going back to TV news. Real news is too depressing. Going back on my Meds too. What’s a little Anal Leakage compared to the effed up mess this world is in. I apologize to Obama. I’m sure you’re doing the best you can. I’m sorry for making fun of Bush. He was awesome. I was obviously having depression and delusions. Maybe even ADD or some other Acronym. FBI, sorry I got caught up in all that Freedom and Liberty nonsense. CIA, thanks for taking the bullet on all that drug trafficking stuff. You Rock! Yessir it’s all peace and Ritalin from here on out. See Yas. Piece!

Cowgirl In The Sand

The Suitcase

So this one time my son came to visit and I booked some time at a local studio so we could play around. Turns out it was a good idea because we got to lay down a cover of cowgirl in the sand. Thanks to Vince who took on all production, Bass, Guitar, and Drums. Click here to hear… Cowgirl In The Sand
It’s hard to express the joy I experience when I get to play music with my kids. It’s almost like I planned it all along…
